A Word from the Director of Ministry

Dear Friend in Christ,

What an exciting time here at Missionary Service Fellowship, Inc.! New growth is just around the
corner. We have begun the building program for the supply warehouse, and are headed for
shipping in the next few months. We are excited about this new branch of ministry, and for the
impact this work will have in the furtherance of the Kingdom.

The ministry vision began when I was just a boy. My father built Selah Cottage to provide
missionaries a place to vacation when I was only ten years old. As a young boy, I grew up
playing with children whose parents served as missionaries throughout the world. At twenty-six,
I accepted Christ, and went on my first mission trip overseas seven months later. Over the next
five years, I went on three more mission trips and attended Bible School with a clear calling
from God to serve Him in missions. We prepared for each mission trip in much the same way,
and even carried many of the same supplies with us, but we never had enough, or the amount
of money we spent was great in comparison to what we were able to bring. Through growing up
around missions, seeing years of ministering to missionaries through Selah Cottage, and in
prepping for many mission trips overseas, God birthed a vision in me with a sincere desire to
help supply the tangible needs of missionaries through the personal contacts of short-term
mission trips.

The goals for the warehouse are simple: to obtain supplies at a minimal cost, house, and
repackage them for shipping to various churches/ministries with the sole purpose of sending
these supplies with short-term trips to be used as tools to share the Gospel. Let me be clear,
these items are not just things just to better someone’s life, but they are tools to help spread the
Gospel of Jesus Christ. These tools often stir the question of “Why?” or “Why did you bring this
to me?” What a marvelous open door to share the truth that we came because Jesus loves you
so much He died on the cross for your sins.  We take seriously the Great Commission and the
desperate need to evangelize, and our strategy is to help those who are called to go do the
jobs before them with supplies they need.

If we can assist you in any way, please contact us. We look forward to partnering with you in
carrying out the Great Commission.

In Him,

Jim Fredrickson, Jr.
